Your brand tells a story. Make it a good one.

I found this picture when I was searching for some information on CrossFit. Look at it closely. In one image with very few characters, the owner of this belt was able to deliver an incredibly profound testimonial for Crossfit. This should be a billboard.


Storytelling – The Ad

Canal+ has done an excellent job elevating the role of the writer and gilding their brand as that of the storyteller.  Check out this ad and you’ll see what I mean:


Pink yogurt lids. Box tops for education.  Dollar collections in the movie theater.  There are myriad ways that corporations fulfill their intentions of being good citizens.   And, undoubtedly, there are many ways for their marketing departments to gage the success of those efforts.  Amount of money raised.  Increased revenue or engagement from target market. [...]


In the end, a good presentation (and marketing communications in general) can entertain and influence. PowerPoint is just one tool in the arsenal. It’s up to the presenter to put in the effort it takes to deliver on that promise.
